wonder how many people they "accidently" killed while useing this treatment?......poor people back then....they were more or less treated like expirimentle rats!!

im sure she dont know her pic is hanging alone in a abandoned hospital!

My Grandfather was an OT at the hospital, this is the door he walked through everyday. When i saw this picture it brought tears to my eyes and made me miss him and my grandmother who was a nurse here(my uncles were also all orderlies here). the hospital has been a fixture in my life and now that its gone i feel like i lost another piece of my family and its history

a few summers back i worked with a hired crew to clean the facility out so it could leveled to the ground as a graveyard and memorial for the troops. Clearly our work was for nothing seeing as it is still standing.

I love the way she has faded, but the background stilll appears vivid. It gives an interesting feeling of her being a person stuck in time, forever peering into a dying world.

i have to say that looking through these images as well as all the other galleries shows the improvements on the facilities that we have now. I have been in and out of psychiatric wards to know that these places r not fun to be in. It is very boring in these places when admitted. I hate them, but find the history interesting....

Wow! This photograph is insanely cinematic! It looks like a still from an old film noir! My photography professor would probably pee himself with happiness if he saw this! lol
