odd... sisters and brothers, almost like a convent or church of sorts. and the phrase painted on the wall in the first shot, "know thyself", sounds like a quote from the bible.
that is so cool! imagine being the person to get that one. it would be like having the super mega jumbo pack of crayons in kindergarden. you would totally be the cool guy.
i wonder if this was actually used... how horrible that would be for the people in the rooms looking out into the hallway. just seeing people having fun, and never getting to talk to them...
i wonder who it was... theres a bit of white over her head, but i cant tell if thats just paint peeling... who was she? the possibilities are endless...
was it someone's girl back home? their little sister? their mother in her glory days? a favorite nurse? or was she nameless? cut out from a magazine... or maybe, if she was a nurse, from a brochure for the institution. that would be so sad, someone looking at the wall, waiting for that perfect scene to actually happen...
oh my gosh... think about being put in one of those as an adult...
it would be like being transported back to infancy... except all the stuffed animals and toys and comfort objects have been taken away...
the rabbit has normal rabbit ears... and then it also has human like ears on the sides of its head.. and the circle around it... i wonder what was going through the mind of the person who drew this...
the drawing underneath looks like an arm...
it sort of reminds me of a drawing a saw of a police officer by a formerly imprisoned person...
could it perhaps be a drawing of one of the guards?
it doesn't look much like a bird to me... maybe it was a reference to some slang word, whose meaning has been long forgotten?
were all the doors in that section reinforced like that? or were the bars put there by a nurse, who was trying to protect the person inside the room? or the people outside of it...
