I work in a laundry and we have 4 of these machines, this one is in pristine shape. Most have been updated just keep the rolls and frame. Brand new ironers are close to $150,000, but you can grab one of these and rebuild it for around $25,000. With alittle upkeep they're last forever.

I,ve seen these things working with a ancient steamengine in
Germany, .
But in modern powerplants they are the same today.
In every car that drives around is such a thing,
Apart from that, when you look to the middle of the upper three
windings you can see a black hole , that is a explosion due to a
short circuit, you can see the molten copper lying on the rotor, the
black partickles on the edge,

I feel like I showed up to this party 5 years too late. Over the past year I have poured over every gallery posted by Motts and read the comments. And they have changed my perception of mental health care facilities thanks to comments by Lynne & others. I must admit that I fell into that whole "One Flew Over The Co-Co Nest" mentality. One bad health care worker makes for better news reporting that a million good ones. Thank you Lynne for opening my eyes to the reality of hard working nurses & aids who came to places like this every single day and tried to make a difference.

I grew up and still live near the Pines Hotel (and all the other abandoned hotels in the Catskills, NY). If you go on Youtube, there are a lot of videos with views inside the Pines, Concord, and other abandoned hotels of this area. I used to work at Kutchers & the Stevensville (Swan Lake Resort) as Head Lifeguard in the 90's. Kutchers is now a Hassidic camp in the summer. Lots of history still here, you just need a tour guide to find it anymore.
