This is a awesomely,wicked photo.

to me, coming across old microwave ovens is the epitome of abandonment, for some reason. my family once had some property and one building sat inactive for about 20 years. 1986-2004 when it was sold and demolished. there was a basement kitchen with 50's style dining booths and stuff. i chose to go here after years of wondering what ever happened to it . well the microwave, a Liton metal monster oven was sitting in a cabinet with sliding doors near the pots and pans cabinet. Being that the bldng had power and heat still, I of course tried to turn it on.it worked BUT THE SMELL . was like sampling death. wish i could post pics of the boiler room....3 water tanks, all gas fired hot water, 2 abandoned tanks, and a massive oil burner steam heating boiler.

had to comment in this picture because i have one of those tv in my kitchen lol its the only tv that havent been replaced by plasma and its more than 15 years old

This somber image gives me a chill. I can see the hands of a tormented soul ideally placed on this shelf as he contemplates his fate and laments his crime. This photo is very moving.

Thanks for documenting this. It continues to amaze me at what is just left behind to go to ruin!

That thing that really strikes me about this is how narrow the place looks. It just looks like it was shoehorned in.

Motts, I don't mean to sound like a giggling school girl, but these galleries fascinate me to no end. What I find particularly interesting about this set is how well this facility has held up over the decades given the fact if closed in 1963.

high dependancy means, for patients who need a higher level of care, so that would mean the patients on this ward were either violent or dangerous
