The basket like object on the floor is called a "Stokes Basket". They're used a lot in the fire & EMS services to move people across rough terrain. Rescue helicopters, such as the Coast Guard, use these to lift victims from ships at sea or from areas where ground transport is impossible. This Stokes is an oldie from the 1950s or 60s. I've seen these on display in fire apparatus museums.
Hi everyone, its been a few years back but I was part of the demo crew that knocked down byberry, you guys made our job so much easier, it was like a group of crack heads exploded on the place. There was some good stuff left that we took, pictures, photos, even some patient records that were still good, Thanks , BM
This looks like it was in a fire. That old screen door against the wall brought back a lot of childhood memories. This was considered "air conditioning" when I was growing up.
Previous comment: (Please excuse length. Just gotta respond, then I'll quit. Been on here for years). Yeah, I'm really "mean" and somehow "judgemental" because I (and so many other working, honest, tax-paying, law-abiding, own-bill-paying generous, helpful, reasonable people out there), rightfully EXPECT that the selfish cretins who "make mistakes" such as armed robbery, physical assault/rape, burglary, DUI, and murder to acutally be PUNISHED for doing so. Those aren't "mistakes", they're concious, SELFISH CHOICES that cause misery for other people because the criminal is so selfish and pathetic he/she refuses to get along in the society he/she lives in. Guess thinking that way makes us "mean-spirited" for expecting swift punishment. Well so be it in the minds of liberals. Sigh........ (insert whatever diety you believe in here) save our country from the bleeding blues.
My heart goes out to Yolanda regarding her post this past October. Where ever she is, I hope & pray she was able to find the help she so desperately needs.
I lived there about a year ago in the new houseing and walked around the place in went into building way up in the back and yes it is fucking scary herd foot steps and shit moveing around. i have a picture of a of a man looking at me from one of the windows on my cell phone.
What Princessica and Rekrats say is very true. Modern X-Ray equipment can take a clearer picture more quickly while subjecting the patient to much less radiation than older equipment did.
