LOL Eldokid...me too. Sheesh. "I think we took a wrong toi-rn at Albuquerque!!*
Hmm...I think some of the pieces from the puzzle are missing...

Maybe I will take some of my quaaludes (see previous picture) and get back to you on that one.
Huh. How do you like that? That is a nice coinkiedink, as they say.

Hey Motts...maybe you were channeling some other time and place (and person!) when you shot this lol. :)
Mummified possum-rat-critter.

Well now. I don't think I will be having my lunch thank-you-very-much. :D :D Geez. I can't imagine some of the things you could possibly step on as you explore Mr. Motts. Eewwwww. Gross.
I agree! Can you imagine having a home office up there and looking out this window as you work? I think it would be so quiet and relaxing and peaceful. :)

Also waking up and having this view to look at as you greet the day...beautiful. :)
LOL Binky...nice alliterations. :)

We live right in the city and the abandoned apartment house next door has pigeons living up under the eaves...and they are ruining OUR siding. The City isn't doing crap about it and I am ready to sue if they don't do something this Spring. That building needs to be condemned (the 1st floor is bad) and they won't do it.

Dreary is really a great title for this shot though. I wonder how long that hallway really is? It looks nearly endless...(kinda)...
Thanks Mr. Motts! Now I can see it...those awful brown paper towels that places use when the GOOD paper towels are used up lol. I hate the smell of them, especially when they are wet. Blah. :D

It really is quite sad that this building may soon be gone. Actually it is beyond sad, it is staggering. I have been going to see it almost at every opprotunity since I was 12 years old, thats 15 years now. The idea that someone in the State Gov can't find a way to save it, its sheer lazyness and is in my eyes unforgivable.

The new hospital is going up fast and looks like it will be truly splendid - by modern standards - but the Clock Tower is a work of art, something you simply do not see anymore.

Motts I have to hand it to you, and I have to thank you. You have collected the largest collection of pictures of Worcester State Hospital I have ever seen, and it, it really means something to me to know that I can come here and look - and remember what it is, and what it was, a standing tribute to one of the most beautiful structures I have ever known - that soon might be a pile. Heartbreaking, it really is.
It's a pity Security couldn't do their job properly and keep the vandals out.
I used to have to go into the Hall when it was in use, when it was full of life, not suffering the death it has done.
I have not got the words to describe how I feel when I see Great Barr Hall (Scott Hall) in the state that it is.
Lady Bateman Scott must be turning in her grave.
How anyone can treat such a beautiful building the way they have is beyond me.
I'm just glad that I have got the memories of how this once great building, used to be.
This was a weighing machine for the patients.
We had one on Veasey Home and kept it in the store room as in this photograph.
The patients clothes were kept on the wooden shelves.
This could be Veasey Home,
I wish I knew.
How I miss St Margarets.
