I could pay my electric bill for a long time with that! That's bait for the scrappers, then they fall 150' down through that grate on the floor.

Note the strainer grates to stop fallen workers from getting ground up in the impellers deep underground. Lots of people got sucked down and ground up in those.

I believe that the mental hospital scenes were actually filmed in Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly.

Looks like it may be the steam inlet poppet trip latch for one of the steam turbines.

this should be tuned into some kind of park or museum ..some kind of observatory ....it is truly a beautiful building ...especially rite there by the falls...im sure they can do more than just let it crumble nd rot away ....
