Unfortunately the hall is no more... as with so many of the 'protected' building s here in the UK... they mystyeriously get set alight and therefore have to be pulled down rather than spending money to repair them and renovate! A great shame... and a too common story!

I have this pic in real life. It is the room between ward A and the gym. The step up gives it away.it was a restraunt room when I was there. This was the little window they could watch us from. I have been there many times and have a picture of little closet like room.

I think they may hint at the word 'Schedule' under the terms of the 1968 Medicines Act. Medicines under certain 'Schedules' were termed 'Poisons' and in order to comply with the act had to be locked away (from other drugs) and certain other laws had to be adhered to.

Thank you for keeping these incredible places alive. This was another beautiful gallery and it showcased true old world German craftsmanship. This was the real deal.

Those arched windows are incredible.

Old German craftsmanship is more than just a cliche'. This is gorgeous.

Time & the elements are taking a toll. I bet that hardwood floor was pretty back in the day.
