HEY! MOUNT WILSON IS LOCATED IN REISTERSTOWN MARYLAND. IT WAS NOT DEMOLISHED. IT HAS BEEN RENOVATED AND IS NOW NORTH OAKS RETIREMENT COMMUNITY. THE MAIN HOSPITAL STILL STANDS, HAS BEEN CHANGED A LITTLE, BUT ITS STILL STANDING. IT HAD CLOSED IN JUNE 1981, AND IT STOOD ABANDONED FROM 1981 TO 1990. FELL INTO DISREPAIR, SOME BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN TORN DOWN, BUT ITS STILL THERE. GO TO FACEBOOK TYPE IN MOUNT WILSON HOSPITAL. IT COMES UP! YOU CAN SEE PICS. CHRIS

This is my fist time to comment on a photo I have been following motts work for probably for 9 years your the best sir I figured this is worth pointing this out . Anyone notice the black shadowed figure at the end of the hall by the blue box on the right behind the stream of light coming from the window on the right? I love your work and I love all the places you have seen ALL very interesting

The time & effort you put into your galleries make all the difference in the world. There are sites all over the internet that features abandoned facilities. But knowing what we are looking at, and the history of the buildings, makes the shots much more interesting. Opacity is the gold standard. Thank you.

The film 12 Monkeys was filmed here. In particular the scenes where
Pitt and Willis are in the mental hospital. Great phots and amittedly kinda spooky.
