Ohhh well.....at least one visitor was pretty cheerful & happy about visiting, and painted a rising Sun on wall, and stars in the ceiling - and a Moon! IN ORANGE!
going by the fact the place has been abandoned for some time and there are vines growing inside, I would say the glass is dirty.
Carolyn, picture me rolling my eyes at you because you leave some really stupid comments here
Thanks for sharing a bit of Germany with us, Motts!
Another very nice B & W photo!
Motts, these windows here look like they are made of frosted glass. Were they, along with some other windows in that hospital? Or is it just that these windows are absolutely filthy, instead?
Hi Motts! For what it's worth, I really like this photo! It's so neat how you basically shot thru two doorways, thru a hallway, and partially thru two rooms. Additionally, it was nice touches to include the door that was off its hinges, and the three steps in the first room. They were the icing on the cake!

Now! As for everyone who posted a comment here before me (re: this photo), try really hard to picture me rolling my eyes at you! :-/
Motts, isn't it wonderful and interesting all the many types of old paperwork these ''old & abandoned'' different kinds of hospitals have in them!? :D
I wonder if that's a room where they collected specimens from patients, and stored them (the specimens) on a shelf in that room until someone from the lab came and collected the specimens to take them to the lab for analysis?
@ autoguy. Ummm...No. Not really. I usually come to this site to admire, and comment honestly on how great a photographic artist Motts is. I try not to waste too much space in the comment section by filling it with many senseless jokes or irrelevant statements! : )
I'm surprised that the sink is still intact, and is still attached to the wall!

Great contrast of black and white in this photo, Motts!
I wonder just how well the double paned windows & doors worked when it came to really helping to prevent the spread of diseases?

Ah... and most of the old buildings on the campus used to have (some still have) these cute little balconies. In summer we spent our breaks from work there with coffee and a strictly forbidden cigarette.
Wow. Actually this seems ages ago.
I am very interested in the history of hospitals and know every single in Berlin - abandoned or in use.
Thank you for all of these beautiful photos!
