They are sinks (a bit smashed out); I think the door leads to one of the tub rooms.

I'm intrigued by the round knob on the wall in the corner with an outline of something. I wonder what was there.

Interesting perspective

They've been doing that kind of work for thousands of years in Italy I'm sure they have it all laid out and the tiles made and assembled so that installation goes quickly.
That looks to be glazed decoration on each 8x8 tile and not cut pieces of colored tiles set in that design.

Beautiful old world craftsmanship. I bet those floors would shine like new if mopped.

Awesome to see a new gallery. It's obvious you've invested a lot of time & sweat in bringing these works of art to us to enjoy. I feel a little guilty for sinking into a comfy chair with a Monster Energy Drink and a can of Pringles to absorb every detail of these magnificent photos. But I'll get over it. Now on with the gallery. =8-)
