That they left records behind is a disgrace and that they left TB cultures is terrifying. You could literally wreak bio-terror by skulking through old hospitals and picking up samples of stuff that some idiot didn't incinerate.

@ KahunaTony - Usually it's not worth the effort. Reselling medical equipment on the quiet is very hard to do even if you resell it fairly cheap - that *** is EXPENSIVE - and demonstrate as best you can that everything is in perfect working order.

Lots of "ifs", it's worse than moving furniture: just as heavy plus it can be way more fragile.

Motts, you really almost made me cry with this one. You have some very moving and/or sad photos on your site, and I'm going through your galleries like nuts, but so far nothing even comes close to the shot.

Go figure that a picture on the Internet of a dirty old piece of paper with less than 100 words can hit you like a stomach punch.

@ mikeyintheoc - try having a disabled girlfriend. I see past everything she has trouble with and love her dearly, but she makes me thank God for being born with four working limbs.

Even if there's a newer shinier version, I guarantee you there is a child whose parents would beg on their knees for this old model. You don't even have to look outside the nation this place was in.
