When I first saw this pic, it reminded me of Kang & Kudos, the extraterrestrials from the Simpsons, The ones that say the earth is doomed. DOOMED!!

Hi, I love Sunnycroft. I have a home a bout 4 miles from there for the past 32 years. I drive down there some times just to sit and remember. The "bad boy' gored by the bull was Ross Lunario . The jockey is Con "Scamp" Errico, also his brother and his 2 boys use to come there with hom. Bobby Minetta ran the barn when we were there. Horses : Measles, Poco Caliente, Van Gogh, Aces High ,Sparky. I came as a guest but lived at the barn all day long, mucking and rangling rides.How about the great Halloween Parties? My boyfriend Frank was the Alien w/ spaceship and I was a Potted Plant but of course announced as a Pot Plant Frank came in 2nd to a Big Bird Costume. Linda White, Marty Wilson also worked at the barn. Steve was the tall thin guy with the best sense og humor. Always had his makeup on and a fur purse. may not be the same Steve. he was one of the waiters. Judy and her Mom behind the desk. I do have lots of pictures. Where would I post them for you all to see. Tall, thin Bobby, and Bruce too from the barn. Both always dressed as true cowboys work or play. They all went after Ross one night when I stupidly went with him to Rocking Horse where he went to work after he was fired from Sunnycroft. He drove me back to Ranch very angry and flying fast in fog , truly a scary time. came in crying and it looked like a scene from a movie the guys from the barn, my Heroes went after him but he lit out real fast ! Well you live and hopefully learn from bad choices and moments. I could go on and on. I went there every weekend I could, and really wish you were still there. I see Rocking Horse has fancy water and winter park. Why can't people be happy with the simple real dude ranch? The basics. we were really the lucky ones. Robin RStartrvlr@aol.com

Not sure if this is a hydrotherapy room or just a place to take a bath. The other pictures of hydrotherapy rooms from that era, the tubs had metal bars around the tubs on which to secure canvas covers that would cover the patients' bodies (their heads would stick out, or sometimes their upper torsos--have seen pictures of patients taking their dinner in a tub.) The hydrotherapy rooms also had a bunch of dials in a control panel where an attendent would control the temperature and flow of the water (for continuous baths where water constantly flowed into and out of the tub).

Way back in the day if someone was feverish a cold tub might have actually felt good, and back before anti-biotics mental illness was sometimes a byproduct of physical illness. As to having warm water pour over oneself, that is what spas today do to relax people. Probaly better than nothing, but like a lot of things in medicine any whisp of beneficial treatment is taken to extremes then someone decides to use it for punishment.

Sad story about the grandmother--this country has gone from locking up harmless people for having a nervous breakdown,, to just about not locking up anyone unless they are found unfit to stand trial.

Yech. I remember games on 5 & 1/2 inch floppies, we still have a bunch. Even by the time of 3 & 1/2 inch disks (the palm-sized ones) if you didn't get good brand disks you regretted it!

Transferring something bigger than 1.44 MB and no network link? Had to use a program to split it into floppy-sized chunks and heaven help you if one of your disks was bad. Many things I miss about the olden computer days but floppies weren't one of them.

This is more terrifying than all the "dark doorway" photos on the entire site, and I've seen a bunch, including the one with the two glowing eyes.

Very spooked and upset at the moment but very thankful.
