Exactly how long were you in there Wayne? Several of your comments say you were "13 or 14, in the 50's"...the last photo, your comment says "around 8 years old"...I have no doubt you were institutionalized, I'm just wondering for how long?
Wayne, I can imagine that it WAS a place of nightmares in the fifties...I visited my mother there in the 80's, and it didn't seem very welcoming then. I've been locked up myself, and when I think back to that visit, I'm very thankful I was never committed there.
I have investigated and photographed the spirit world for more than 25 years, could you sense you were being watched? Many of your pictures have the spirits watching your every move,,love it!
I've went by this place for years and always wanted to investigate it, like the spirits were calling me in. All these pictures are amazing and so full of spirit energy. Great pictures guys and thank you for sharing.
Yet another wonderful gallery, Motts! On to the next one, please? : )
This really is an interesting shot!...However I still hate scrappers, a.k.a., thieves!
Motts, is that à chalice or candlestick holder in the upper right hand corner of this photo? Or am I totally mistaken?
Wow! Now that bearing truly is awesome! I've never seen one that big! Thanks for getting a great photo of it for us Motts.
I really love this picture! It's my favorite one of this gallery so far. The composition is great!
There sure was a lot of machinery and stuff left behind when they closed the place down. I'm kind of surprised by that.
Can you imagine how loud it must have been around that place with all that machinery running!?
Okay! All I'm gonna say is that after seeing the control gauge photo, this control...uh...photo looks wa-a-ay out of control! : )
Really nice artistic photo, Motts! I really like the colors of the gauge.
I wonder how many lucky guys it took to keep this thing polished, and in excellent working order?
Those must have been quite large!
