I posted a link to that, in the forum section of this site, Freespirit. It was the eeriest thing I have seen, an abandoned & powerless wheel, spinning & making the creepiest screeching sound I have ever heard.

In the show, Life After People, on the History Channel, they stated that sometimes, coasters like this had sand packed into the hollow steel tubes that the tracks were mounted on. If sea water breached the connection points, salt water sat in the insides & began to corrode the metal from the inside out.

The sand was there, inside to act as a shock absorber for the ride, to cut down on vibration as the cart ran the track. If indeed the joints were breached, the sand is most likely still damp with the water from Katrina & the coaster can no longer be safe to used again.
Another really nice photo, Motts! This large room reminds me of a restaurant my family used to go to on Sunday afternoons, when I was a child. The bars on the windows remind me of the glass blocks in the windows of the restaurant.
Hey! Another ''lone chair''! I stand corrected! I thought you only took one pic of à ''lone chair'' per gallery, Motts. Obviously, I was wrong! : ))
I really love this pic, Motts! Did you ever publish a book? It is 2014 now. If you have published a book, I'd love to know where I can purchase it! Thanks!
Oh! I am so there! I can just see myself curled up in a comfortable chair (positioned in the niche where all the windows are) reading an interesting book. I don't feel intimidated by this particular space at all!
Hmm...I'm not gonna venture a guess as to exactly what kind of chair it is. But I am willing to bet this is Motts' ''lone chair'' shot for this particular gallery! : ))
Why the blanket in the casket? I mean, seriously? Did someone put it in there thinking it would help keep a dead body warm!? : /
Motts, this is quite an artistic photo! I think your shooting it in B & W just made it all the more better...and scarier. : )
I think this 'old style' coffin is pretty neat! Thanks for taking a photo of it for us all, Motts!

The height and colors are amazing.

Motts, this has gotten worse, as time, weather & people have done far more damage than Katrina ever did to it. From the pictures I've seen, not much is left standing now, except a few letters from the Gotham City Hall sign.

Technically even thought there are cases there from 1999, chances are hospitals will not destroy those case files unless they back them up first. Anyone can comeback and say such and such happened and if they destroy those files they don't have any recourse. Statue of limitations only works on some things at certain times and hospitals WILL NOT be caught in that trap.
