There was a period of time (70s or 80s) where people were supposed to paint seclusion and time-out rooms Pepto-Bismol pink. There was some research to show it had an initial calming effect. Ironically, later research apparently showed that continued exposure to the color actually revved people up after the initial calming effect, but unfortunately it took a while for people to figure this out, and few people were in time out or seclusion for a short period of time. Horrid color, really. I can't tell if this is salmon, pink, or orange.
