Yup that is the stipulation in the deed - the property can only become another hospital, or a public park. Lots of developers lamenting that one, I'm sure.

The city spends about $127,000 a year in "upkeep;" I presume that's for the security guard, but the power bill might be included.

As the other posters above me has so eloquently stated the open ground, the treads and the earlier picture of the caskets were just enough to evoke a feeling of such sadness, your subtlety has to be commended and makes such a larger statement. I could just imagine how yourself and your dear departed friend must have felt walking on this island of lost souls.
