is that alot of post its? or is it just paint peeling like crazy..either way i love this shot. i actually live on long island and plan on visiting pilgrim state hospital and kings park...are these places patrolled?

Makes me appreciate the fact that we have the liberty to actually have private bathrooms in our homes. I worked with MR/MH people for years, and although some were severely handicapped, they at least were able to use a private bath (although sometimes with staff assistance). It is appalling to know how these folks were treated in the past ( and not even that long ago!)

At the county hospital they still had these safety chairs, they were purple though. They ditched them when the remade the emergency room and had camera's in the psych rooms.

When I was inpatient I did the same sort of drawings as the butterfly. We did it with the Occupational therapists.

THE GLASS BLOCK IS VERY WONDERFUL AND THAT LITTE HEAD ARCHED PEEK HOLE THINGY IS WONDERFUL AS WELL! THE ENTIRE PIC IS REALLY COOL AND IT ALSO GIVES OUT AN ART DECO FELL TO IT! FAB!

THE COLORS ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL AND THE REPEATING OF THE CURVE SHAPE OF THE STALLS ARE VERY UNIQUE. I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE.

wow, I remember going there once when I was a kid in the mid 80's. Very eerie seeing it as it looks today.

Kevin, I don't think Motts wants the site locations known (see below the submit comment button), for safety/legal reasons and stuff. But its up to him, so I don't know if he will tell you or not. I guess I'd say I doubt it.
