Love this shot! Love the detail
Beautiful!
The Tea Cups and Tea Pot (seen in the distance) have now been totally restored and are now at their new home at Clark's Elioak Farm.
Second from the left reminds me of "Velma" from Scooby Doo! -except she has added a dark jacket to her look. ;)

Possibly they are portraits of the staff -(doctors, etc. - ?)
Thanks luminous star! I love hearing the history of all of these wonderful places.
So glad Motts and others are keeping them alive!
That is just a crime!
even the floors! ugh!

Sure hope the Prince of Whales and his Pheonix program can and will restore it to it's former glory!
Beautiful blues
Beautiful!

love the climbing ivy too!
Sarah...sounds like you are thinking of the kinds of drawings done by the artist, M. C. Escher. The ones where even the stairs are going right side up and upside down...and all at the same time.
was this size room the norm, or were only a few this small?
Definitely wallpaper!!
Feels like you could just reach through the screen, and touch the stones.
Ok, this might sound silly, but the texture in the archways reminds me of the artwork in DIsney's Sleeping Beauty movie...Malificent's castle ...and the kings castle as well,.. were drawn with lots of texture, (and teeth too!)
incredible shot Mr. Motts!
Maybe I should rephrase my question...
I can see the windows in the walls, but some look much larger, as if they had been hit by cannon fire or something?
just curious.
Incredible!

~ And thank you Motts for all the info. on this beautiful place!
Are the holes in the walls possibly from cannon fire too? Did you find any info an that?
