Might I add..there is nothing more terrifying than facing the Priest for the first time to confess your sins! All these years later I still remember that feeling!

I had my first confession in 2nd grade..you have to do that before you receive your 1st Communion, which is also in 2nd grade. Quite a year for a young Catholic!

flushed you are correct..a lot of the elderly can't kneel, so they are allowed to remain sitting during the "kneeling" portions of our Mass.

Mica..I don't think the Sisters got to choose a whole lot of anything! They live very simple lives, with very little in the way of material things. My great aunt celebrated her 50-year Jubilee as a nun several years ago, and they truly live humble, simple lives.
