Thank you for the wallpaper! This is really nice. The right edge of theleft-hand side door appears to have a "post" attached to it, and the right door doesn't....oh, wait......nevermind. Maybe that door was meant to be closed first, then the other one closed "into" the inside edge of it (the closet doors in my (old) house are like that)....Hmmm.

I agree with Squishie. The lack of grafitti and vandalism is unusual, and it's great to be able to see the actual building instead of having to look "through" garbage to see what actually looked like. Maybe one day I'll take the time to investigate some places myself ;-).

REAL "ceiling tiles"...... That is a little odd. Maybe it was easier to clean the grease-smoke off of tile instead of plaster.....Must have been interesting to install. Cool that even the kitchen door is arched. Nice lighting.

Reminds me of one of those colorized pictures with that little spot of rust-red in what appears mostly black and white. I have to admit I would have been quite a bit more than "tempted" to take this.... Wouldn't, but would be VERY tempted......

lexusdreamer, I second the Escher idea. Looks like some lizards should be climbing these (or descending).

Great angle. I know I say that alot, but really, Motts, you do have a good eye for those :-). All of the various lines work well together. Love the old-fashioned keyhole paired with the more modern "lever" style door handle, too.

Wow. Beautiful pattern. I'm sure there is more than one person here who would like to do their whole floor in that. Nice color. I know it's been said before, but it amazes me that this kind of stuff is just left to disintegrate. GRRRR!!!. I guess you could say it uh, "floors" me......(please don't hit me for the cheesy pun)....(puts arms over head to fend off beating)......:-).

Ivy DOES get all over everything, and does grow fast. If you look closely at it, it has millions of little "hooks" all along it that grab into bricks, wood fencing, etc....that are absolutely impossible to remove. Think permanent velcro!! :-0....Ironically, it's pretty..:-*, . Another good choice for B&W, Motts. Thanks for the gallery.

WOW!!! This looks VERY much like my back porch/covered deck area. My place was built in the 1940's, but.....anyway. This one sort of caught my eye because of that. Love the windows, and maybe I should snatch that long bench idea...;-). Love the vanishing perspective.

There's something really sad and FINAL about walled-in, or otherwise permanently blocked-off fireplaces, windows, doorways, etc.....kind of like a back-of-the-mind narrator is saying, "People once used this spot in their everyday lives, and NEVER AGAIN will a person, light, or even AIR pass through. Past days are irretrievable." I always want to "unblock" things (especially windows and doors) just to see the exact, long-lost sunlight pattern would have been. I know, strange idea, but....

PERFECT choice of angle, Motts. When I glanced at the thumbnails of this, I thought it might be a stack of books (bibles?). Anyway, great. I'd most definitely be bringing an extra-large flashlight and a backpack full of extra batteries if I was exploring into that blackness......(but I would DO it.....;-))
