One of the last summers' we went there, a film crew of Steven Spielberg's was there to interview survivors for his holocaust memory museum (or whatever it is called). There were a number of people sitting a a large table behind us.

We used to go there for many years with the family at the end of summer, before school started. My kids loved the place. I think before the fire, the roof caved in from the weight of snow. The owners didn't want to rebuild, but they couldn't get the insurance anyother way. It was not the same after that, and closed a year or two later. They charged separately for everything, including meals when they had to reopen. It's a shame that almost all of these hotels are gone.
