Probably lifted up in order to pull parts from underneath. Don't think I'd want to be underneath that setup though.

Looks to be electrical receptacles coming off of an electrical "busway" distribution system.

Check out that air handling unit. Looks like the vegetation is growing from the inside-out.

Definitely not a light fixture. In this old building I'd say that the wiring would have been ran in conduit on the outside of the wall.

Chaos! It's interesting to see newer items like the fluorescent lighting affixed to those old tin ceilings. As an electrician it interests me to see how these old buildings were retrofitted with electrical, plumbing , etc.

It appears that this area was being maintained at the time of this photo.

The wood looks to be in excellent shape. Maybe even recently cleaned and polished?
