One can not be acused of "housing" these unfortunate souls in run down buildings. Yhey went all out when it came to the architecture.. it appears that no money was too much to build these fantastic facilities. II would love to have seen any and all of these hospitals, asylums etc. on their opening days.

I think I've joined the crowd of groupies (addict?). I started this morning at around 10:20 and it's now 4:52 p.m. Hand is stuck on mouse and I'm starting to atrophy! Gotta pull myself away or my cats will starve to death! ;^)

For all the enjoyment I get from viewing these pix, knowing I'll never get the opportunity to see them 'live', I get angry as heck that nothing is being done to preserve them. Mr.Motts has to sneak around to capture these places for posterity but he should be getting a police escort and a parade when he comes to town! When these bldg's are gone forever, not many will know what they're missing unless they get to see these shots. It's just such a shame and I thank you, Mr.Motts for your dedication.

Best picture of the collection in my opinion. It looks (kinda) like someone got up and walked out, away from the wheelchair into the sun!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh... (gets stupidly imaginative)

The stuff here is much more hi tech than some of your other locations, and it's a little upsetting that it's not bewing used! Nice to see the old equipment though, very cool xD

This is probably thesingle, most scary image I've ever seen. Even worse because of the fact that nothing you do is staged, motts. Damn you find the most amazing things...

Fascinating picture. Very lonely, really. The doors open but someone would have to sit there alone.

What a mix of (kind of) modern with chairs from so long ago!
Things just abandoned like this... did someone leave really urgently?

How angry must someone be to overturn something and throw it like that? How urgent is something that you leave it that way for years? Does no one else think this is quite scary?

I can't believe these things are left lying around in abandoned buildings! I need to try getting into these places...
But at 18, I'll be labelled a delinquent teen... oh well. *shrugs and jumps through the window*

To me, they look like the drains of an overflow system. You know, like the one on the front of most modern bathtubs. I don't see any holes in them that would indicate jets, but those little drain thingees have the holes on the undersides. Maybe?
