I worked at NSH from 1980 to 1996. This bldg, Salmon Bldg., was closed in 1972. It had been used as the maximum security ward for the criminally insane. That job was transferred to the Whiting Forensic Institute in Middletown at that time. Many of the employees who worked in the Salmon Bldg transferred and opened up Whiting.
I think it is an anaesthetic trolley used in an operating theatre, the regulators on the side would have cylinders of anaesthetic gas and oxygen attatched and on top is a suction unit.
wont lie but ive sat in the chair right there before, the morgue is creepy though at night. i definetly didnt sleep that night after being down there in that basement
In 2000 the Ride above caught on fire due to tresspasser and by the time the firedepartment arrived several surrounding buildings were also on fire. The fire department had to fight the other fires to get close enough to put out this one. The City started to remove the building but stopped because someone wanted to buy it. This was in the paper a week after the fire (Telegram and Gazzete in MA)
i think this is sad because in 20 years or sooner there gonna be like hey where are all those ships and realize there to old and distroyed to restore i mean it would be awesome to go see them in a museum.
Yes Because The Lovelly People At The UN And The Geneva Convention Would'nt Be Too Happy Would They? Great Work By The Way Motts, I Want To Get Into Urban Exploration But There Is Hardly Anything In The UK Because They Knock It Down As Soon As It Doesnt Provide A Function, Which Is A Shame.
very alice in wonderland or Narnia Chronicles. Dig it. maybe a little dark for my taste tho. Also: You should try shooting this thing in infra-red sometime.
Ok. I shoot digital, first off. I probably shood mess with development tricks more in photoshop but I've never thought to until seeing this shot. How the heck - do you develop these yourself man? Awsome lighting work.
On that note, how were you able to get both the lit stuff in the foreground and the light around the edges of the boards on the window as well?
It was my "home away from home" for like 23 visits worth. Love the color again. You develop these yourself? Also, what did you shoot this with? Digital or film?
Btw, Met has been leveled as of recently. Saddens me greatly since it was so near to where I live. THought you should know.
