Finally, someone mentioned Dirty Dancing. I was waiting to post until the end to see if anyone else thought of that movie. That's all I have been able to think of while looking at these pictures.

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner", is my favorite line from the movie!

I was never lucky enough to go to a resort like this when I was growing up, but I sure am enjoying the pictures of this and all the stories from guests/workers.

I just found this site, kudos to you Mr. Motts, and I have now got a new pasttime. I have seen some beautiful pictures and had some awesome feelings from them and I am only on the second set.
I just have to comment on the train in this picture. I used to work with developmentally disabled-back when they were called mentally retarded-and before asylums were closed they were home to many of these people. Years ago the powers that be, thought it was appropriate for dd people to play with toys since their mental age was usually that of a child. Now most companies that work for the dd population realize that they are actually being abusive to adults by giving them toys to play with. This is not to say that some toys are not educational for them, but just to hand them toys to occupy their time is unacceptable now.

I love the name of this photo. I can just imagine the squares of light moving around the room as the sun rises and then sets. If i were crazy - hell, we are all a little bit crazy anyway - i would want to spend my days watching them.
