I am delighted to hear that these gorgeous ruins have been designated a historical landmark! You just don't see amazing architecture like this anymore....especially in this country! More of these buildings need to be preserved for the sake of our heritage instead of falling to the wrecking ball in man's ever-incessant greed for land & financial gain. The past is priceless.

Oh, if the souls in these vast, cavernous spaces could speak, just what would we learn? What tales of sadness & pain would be revealed? That's what goes through my mind as I look at these pictures....it draws you in to a mysterious past. I want to know more.

This pic makes me want to walk up to those wonderful windows & take in the view! Great shot!

This reminds me so much of the manor house that they used for exterior shots in the old "Dark Shadows" series!! Awesome!!
