I think its the red on the wall that draws my eye - that must have been beautiful in its hey day.
Looks like a bullet hole in the middle of it!
Heh Lucie GMTA!
The colors grab you and draw you in. Love the ornate fronts on the stairs.
Ok I gotta ask. With the "hole in the wall by the flowers" you are referring to the previous photo right? Cuz I can't find the flowers or hole in this shot lol. Just making sure.....
That odd ceiling again.
The sky kind of sets the mood for this shot. Somber. Brooding.
How can they look so sound on the outside and be totally falling apart on the inside...they could be gutted and redone...instead of demolition.
This gallery was filled to the brim with love and sadness...love for the beauty of this place and sadness to see it in the winter of its life. Thanks Motts for the gallery and for letting us see the beauty through your eyes.
Bet that views, sans the fencing, was beautiful in the spring and summer.
RJ I believe you are right! It looked familiar!
Someone's collage still can be seen..
First thank you for the before shot! I love seeing how they looked in use. The recent photo is surreal - the fog on the lens adds to it immensely. Sure looks clean too. Odd - some parts have collapsed and others are pristine. Very little graffiti.
Ha good play on words!
What was the purpose of the squares above the doors? Were they transom windows? These halls are really wide - unlike construction today. Stellar shot.
