Autoguy you are on a roll tonight!!
I am always amazed at the sheer size of these buildings..they just go on and on.
I like the yellow - bright and cheery. So much better than the pepto pink and the grim green.
The Asylum Projects websites has a section where members post postcards of these asylums and its amazing how many have messages written on them about what a beautiful place they are visiting or staying at.
Looks like my elementary school! Yeah that was depressing too. This si so blah compared to the elegance of the hospital.
First thought was it looked like a water slide up there.
Back then every entrance was a grand entrance. Love the lamps.
Maybe the constant water running off the stairs is what has worn away that portion of the stairs. That downspout was not thought thru!
Vertigo!
These old buildings just had style. Unlike the concrete boxes now.
LOL autoguy.
Absolutely amazing that it is still running. You can just imagine how it looks when the place was in use.
Very stately looking building. Clocks need to be the same time lol.
All good points Lynne - so what do you think it was used for? Never thought of the outward angled corners in that light..makes clear sense!
Stunning gallery. I am so glad someone did care for Mary Craig!
