sande is right. when the children didnt get the attention they needed, they realized they could smear - im going to be polite here- human feces on themselves so the staff HAD to give them a bath.

Maria is right. the do patroll the area, and the do carry drawn weapons. they will shoot on sight, so beware. and has anyone but me been up to the tower? if you can get up there, which i am not saying how, is the best spot to check out where the patrolling officers are.

Motts, no offense, and im not trying to criticize or insult you in any way. But, wasnt it sorta stupid to go in the winter? your footprints are kinda obvious. is there a reason you went during the winter, or did you have permission to go of some sort? i doubt that, though.

Lynne, the staff dont care anyway, lol. and i seemed to have missed that room, Motts. what building and floor isit? and i wonder what that little hole behind the desk is... maybe its a cubbyhole, maybe a passageway of some sort that was covered up?

the stairs were there to enter the door that was once there, but it was knocked down and a wall was put there instead, to track patients moe thoroughly. as for the medicine cabinet, i have no clue why that is there. and, the reason for the pink walls was another attempt to make the place less scary. and besides, these "pateints" have never seen the outside world. i dont think they knew pink was a girly color, much less cared.

sande, the reason this tub had no faucets was because it was filled from the front of the tub. notice the hole where the pipe once was on the side of the tub w/ out the towel.

Motts, was the x-ray's printer still there? last time i was in that room, it was, and it had a bunch of x-rays near it. it was frewaky, because most were de-formed, with missing or fused limbs, and one had a flat, almost square skull. it was depressing.

This place is respected around here(not that we like what was happening inside, but the buldings itself), and we normally like to keep it clean, no graffiti or anything. As for Phantom, he was caught in the act and fined ALOT of money, lol.

you think being isolated, staring out a window, is torture? at Pennhurst, they STILL have old home movies on old-fashoined movie reels that show people being tortured, for real. they shocked them with wires for lights, cut them with glass, ect. The only way u can see whats on them is by looking at the reel's "tape".

yes, there is still electricity in SOME buildings. when i was in one of the wards, there was a light on in a room that still had a gurney in it.

Oh, and one more thing, Motts. did u happen to see any of the fabled underground passageways? that was the way i got into Pennhurst when i was found out by one of the V.C.'s guards!
