I bet those things could still be a worth a fortune, esp. part for part! It's kind of cool to imagine hooking that thing up and starting it up, just like it was brand new. Wow.
Well since Studebaker went out of business I think a long time ago, a non existent company who was bankrupt and no longer producing or manufacturing had no need or want of files and receipts anymore I would venture to guess. Also, even if they had not gone out of business and just closed the plant, it would have taken a lot of money even to move just files out of there. See, it looks like a slew of files...I think that's why any abandoned places will have machinery and tools and (at the time) expensive machinery and files left over because (especially if they were bankrupt), they were too expensive to remove, easier to leave there and not have to deal with every again. Sorry for the run-ons, the Army has kept me up 48 straight hours and now I can't sleep.
I see this abundance of woodblocks and can't help but imagine the amount of trees cut down to floor the entire plant with them. Yeesh. Motts, are they held down with mortar of some sort or are they just kind of placed in there tightly? And what type of room was that?
Yea, I was just in the morgue today. It's a shame how bad the junkies have ruined it. I was in the morgue years ago and it was somewhat preserved. I guess the junkies got all of the hypodermic needles and had a blast. It's sad how it looks. Glad I took plenty of pictures, years ago and recently. I have never been in the wing across the street from the kirkbridge main. could never find an entrance. any suggestions?
Just a guess..kinda...but isnt this the place that the movie session 9 was filmed...its about three or four guys that go there to do work on a few rooms after the building was closed..and one guy starts hearing voices...goes crazy and kills everyone...
I don't know about you guys and gals, but this room looks to small to me, to be a dining room or exercise room...I mean, look at it. If it's too small for mentally ill people, it's DEFINITELY too small for some rich dude checking in for R&R. Just my .02
