Awesome capture!!!

Oh, and thanks for the headache, Hallucinator. (LOL) Those floors would drive me bonkers anyway, but your diffusion went one step further and made my eyes water. XD Very cool, though...

Gorgeous. You can see the electrical conduits across the top, between the arches, reflecting that the electric lights were retrofitted long after the theater was built. This is stunning architecture. I am in LOVE with that center stage window!!!

Salmon pink. Lovely color for a stairway. :-/

I don't think they're photo-therapy beds, they don't look stable enough to support three layers of people. Odd about those lights, though... exactly what WOULD that have been for? I don't see any electrical cords coming from them, either... so how did they even get power? Weeeeird.

Hell yeah, that's got a serious creep-factor to it. Just the thought of glancing over and seeing two eyes peering in at you.... GAH!!! Totally unappealing. I've never seen anything like that.

That was my question, blue lamp. I wonder if this was an operating room?

I love the architectural work, the trim and stuff. They just don't do that in buildings anymore - everything is so autonomous and institutional. It's too bad we rarely find ourselves in the presence of true craftsmanship any longer.

But I digress... *your* work is fabulous, as always, Mr. Motts!!!

The whole scene is a bit surreal... but I'm lovin' it just the same.

I've come back to this gallery a couple of times, and each time I initially think the title to this shot is "Radical Gate."

Either way....

I just noticed... this must be where Walmart got their idea for the wash basins they have in their restrooms now. VERY similar, except for the motion-sensor water sprayers.

Fabulous collection, Motts.

Son's comment: "Oh!! Just like the applesauce!"

(He *is* only 6, after all - it can't all be serious with him, LOL)

Fuzzy black on the ceiling... looks like a slowly creeping fungus waiting to drop upon the next trespasser.

Obviously you picked an appropriate title, Motts.

LOL... New York kinda way... that was funny.

That's a very imposing doorway. Does kind of have a soap dispenser look to the top, doesn't it?

Whoa.

Son's comment: "Ooooh, mom, can we live there when we move next?? Pleeeease??"

(The next generation of UErs, learning the art of true beauty in urban ruins at the knee of the Master... yes, Motts, you are inspiring my six year old to follow your footsteps.)
