Wonder what the significance (if any) is of the lone '9' on the window?

Can't be graffiti, considering the lack of it throughout the rest of the building. Just too random to be meaningless.

Or is it.........?

How ironic that the sticker seems to be in better condition than the very paint upon the walls.

I am thinking the same as others.... what must have gone through the minds of those in this bed?

I pictured lying there, staring up at that... circle-thing (smoke detector? speaker?)... on the wall. How many desolate thoughts echoed through the heads of the patients confined to this turquoise cell? How many disturbed dreams filled the endless nights of this room's inhabitants? The possibilities are endless...

Eldokid, the redundancy of that show is one thing that irritated me. The music, trying to create this sense of drama, was another. But I was also fascinated with the near-future portrayals, where they went to abandoned buildings or factories to illustrate what things would look like in 20, 30 or 40 years. The cheaply-done CGI illustrations of things in 200 or 500 years were pretty dumb, though. I agree with you... NOTHING tops Opacity!!!

The way every single thing seems to be peeling, it almost looks furry. Sort of like it was all in transition... between there and not-there.

Everything in this place was so peely and rusty... very surreal. I love it.

Oh, please tell me they didn't make patients sleep on the floor??

My instinct tells me these are just leftover mattresses tossed down indiscriminately.

Weird. My first thought was, "Is aiming really that hard for guys??"

Then my second thought was of the cleaning-up I have to do after my sons. So yeah, I guess sometimes it is.

Interesting idea, the ergonomic urinal.

Hideous taste in wallpaper decor. Creative use of samples, however.

Amazing gallery, Motts! Looking forward to the next (maybe with more wallpaper of your own!).
