The dark room and the light room...a study in contrasts.
SO many emotions run through me as I gaze upon this photo.

On a side note: when I was still pregnant with our 5th child, one of the ultrasounds I had showed something wrong with the ventricles in his brain. They weren't sure if he would have profound mental retardation or other problems because of it, and they tried to prepare me for all possibilities. Fast forward a couple of months later...E. was born on May 18th 2010 at 2:35 pm...the most perfect baby you could imagine. :) We took him to a specialist at 4 months old to see what kind of problems there were/are in his brain...and they found NOTHING. Since it seems that Autism runs on the boys' side of the family, I am expecting him to have some sort of developmental delay when he gets older, but so far, no problems.
My point: I said to the doctors (before he was born and when they found this problem on the ultrasound) that even if he was profoundly disabled, I would care for him and love him no matter what. He is our child and I had grown to love him and I didn't care what problems he had or would have. I told them that we already have 2 disabled boys and I am disabled myself (I have Asperger's Syndrome, oddly enough, and our 2 girls have NO signs of any kind of disability!) so one more disabled child is NO bother for us. :)
I just had to put that story out there.

The red chair looks like an outsider, like I was in school...not belonging, but trying hard to belong all the same.
OK I am rambling now...

Wow 666...what an ODD number! I know hotels (the ones I have been in anyhow) don't have a 13th floor...something so recognizable as 666 seems out of place here...

Very stark, desolate, brooding...
What a nice place this would be to call home (with a little renovaton and a truckload of money I am sure)...

Like the ghosts of people past still wandering around, oblivious to the many many decades passing by them...
Okay I know this wasn't a ghost but still...that is what I though of.
