I agree with Ferdy and the rest. I thought it was little licks of flame too when I first glanced at it. How weird that is!

I wonder if I would hit my head on that box...I am pretty short lol!
Whoa...that is a LONG way down I bet! I can imagine how musty and mildew-y this place smells!
Lonely...rag shot? Why do I think of seedy hotels on the Strip with their orange glow of the lights and stripper bars on nearly every corner? Ok...maybe not on EVERY corner...lol.

I really like this picture!
Well, I am a little late in the game here...but I sure did enjoy reading the introductions to this gallery! Very informative!

Doesn't this picture conjure up images of ghosts and spirits and...GHOSTHUNTERS! :D I bet they would have a blast here!
*Groans* That was baaaaaaad Cookie lol.

My lone chair shot! YAY!!! I still can't get over the contrast between the previous pics with the pristine floors and walls ... to this. What a shame!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Mr. Motts! You have made my Tuesday a lot better now. :)

Fabulous job, as usual, with the pictures. You don't just take pictures...you create works of art. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

You have my eternal respect and I will be eagerly awaiting more photos! :)
I personally LOVE trains (we have a steam-engine train for passenger tours and we also have freight trains that still run though our city and the tracks are actually only about a block or so down from my house!) and I too am distressed to see how little they are used compared to in the past. I think they are TRYING to revive that mode of shipping though now. I swear I saw a commercial to that effect. I love watching the trains go by and feel the ground rumbling as they pass, and feeling the rails to tell if one is coming. I love the old tressle by my house and how if you look down you can see the river below you and how you feel a sense of vertigo. Many kids have earned their "badges" crossing that tressle! :)
WOW! That is some really nice ironwork there. :) I wonder how many man-hours went into creating this masterpiece?
WOW...reminds me of Star Trek! I can see Sulu and Uhura at the controls...Where to Captain?

:) Neat shot!
I like how it appears to be a little tilted and off-kilter. That chair looks like it is waiting for someone...or something. :)
What a shame this is in such "ruin" when the other parts are so well-preserved. The tile stacked up like that reminds me of "Ghostbusters" when they find the books all stacked up...

"...you're right...no human would stack books like that..."

Told you I watch WAYYYYYYY too much TV lol.
Reminds me of the tunnels in the old abandoned hospitals that you've taken pictures of.

Almost looks sub-terrainian! :) (Are there any Zombies or strange drag-marks from an unknown creature down here????)
Wow that is a LOTTA rust lol.

Love it!
The chair looks like it is saying..."hey--I belong in THERE!" lol!

What a difference this pic is from the almost pristine condition of the downstairs. Wow.
What is that thing in the middle of the floor? I love the tile work AND the high ceilings...OOOH so much to look at!
