You absolutely have my permission to feel that way. One of my (very) few virtues is my complete and total ability to admit that much of the time I DON'T have a clue. Anyone who thinks they understand all of this either has delusions of grandeur or is sadly misguided. However, the first step to knowledge is admitting you don't have all the answers. So at least I am on the road, wouldn't you say? :-)
I have to read nursing logs and staff event forms from my section of campus for my thrice weekly risk management meetings, plus I have to read all the nursing logs once a month (for 500 folks). It is generally the highlight of my day trying to figure out exactly what people wrote, as what I like to PRETEND they say is always a lot funnier than what they ACTUALLY say. It is especially difficult to interpret if someone misspells a word or uses an abbreviation I'm not expecting.
God save the poor people who have to read physicians' handwriting, however. 8-(
Very interesting, Mathue - thanks! Truckie will be especially interested in the second article, I think. And our Backy will want to go over there and start digging. ;-)
And for THAT the original artists are heaving a sigh of relief. ;-)
I actually think you are allowed to goof around doing things like this if you aren't representing it as original art or profitting off of it. Surely someone around here is a copyright expert, yes?
The average inpatient stay is 12 days. Men are more likely to be hospitalized for alcohol and/or substance abuse issues, and people with those issues generally have a longer stay than those without as they need to detox as well as get their other issues handled: http://healthyminds.or...chospitalization.cfm
Aha! Once again, thank you Sue! Now that I can look up information about this color by knowing its correct name, I also found the reference about the increased exposure to the color having the opposite effect:
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sue! I have been looking for that reference for a LONG time! I should have remembered, living in the Seattle area in 1985 right after that study came out. And I had always thought the color was named for the color pink that is on the boxes that come out of bakeries. Well, whatdayaknow! Now I can call it by its rightful name - Baker-Miller pink! :-)
