It was truly the kindest thing I could think of. My brain was screaming in agony, trying to get out of my head and go slit its little wrists. I just HAD to put it out of its misery. :-(

Mr. Black,

I am thinking that if they find him with a young woman dressed up in angel wings with black army boots who is bedaubed with fake blood, they are more likely going to take them on a sidetrip to Bellevue Psychiatric before they see the inside of a police station. However, I believe this to be Motts' true plan so he can sneak in a hidden camera and take pix from the inside of Bellevue.

Just a random stray thought.

Well, what I actually meant, Twug dearest, was that after I read that question I took one of those power tools that shoots metal rivets into metal beams and I shot myownself in the head with it. It seemed the kindest thing to do to my brain at that moment.

Yes, you are correct. Sick bastards who roam around also need to take baths as well as everyone else. I'm not quite sure how giving someone a nice bath is going to cure them, however, other than to improve their hygiene a bit.

You'd probably have a different perspective if you had to clean mattresses that are made of material and not plastic. And you can't sterilize the other kind - you have to toss them and replace them with new ones. Given the incredibly large number of people who were sent to these places before medication was available and the small amounts of money given to institutions, most budgets didn't allow for regular mattress replacement (except in TB sanitariums).

Yes, definitely high pressure water blasts, maybe after they put them in ice water for several hours as "therapy". Or maybe they used the ice water as part of the high pressure water treatment; you know, combining two torturous treatments in one to save money. And then when they were finished they sent them to the exercise room to use that torturous weight belt machine. God, the agony! The despair! =8-o

Chrissie,

Our friend Henry L. on this site has told us that he uses a machine similar to this at night for sleep. Why don't you ask him what it's like?

Poor Lyric. I think with all that tongue biting we may need more than just a tissue - mebbe a tourniquet or sumpin'. ;-)
