BEAVIS~
Hope you have a great time at the birthday celebration! : )
Beauty and the beast.
The beast is that these buildings, with all their elaborate designs could not be saved and turned into something else and be used.
The beauty of it are your photographs. Giving these and all the other beautifully designed buildings in your galleries, one last standing ovation before they are history and nothing more.
Thank you , Motts! : )
That's it! I'm googling this place!
Such beautiful windows!
Wow...just when you think the gallery can't get any better....Motts pulls another magic trick out of his hat.
Just beautiful and peaceful too. : )
Reminds me of stories of Aladin and his flying carpet and magic lamp or 1001 Arabian Nights.
Looks like a picture out of the National Geographic, of a city that has been uncovered by an archaeologist's dig.
Motts, don't apologize! The way you get so much in a single shot is one of the things that I love most about your work! : )
Love the details!
Beautiful pic and love reading about the history of this room.
I had read in a book a long time ago, that some people believed that if you slept with the full moon shining on your face, it would make you crazy.
Really beautiful, Motts!
This is gonna sound weird, but I just had the idea of another way to view your photos.
Viewmaster reels!
Like the reels when they first came out, and REALLY looked 3-D!
The Viewmaster Opacity Collection...
It's going on my Christmas list! : )
NEW PHOTOS!
I have to go get a cup of tea, to go with THIS dessert!
Love the dreamy look! : )
Unnerving...must be the angle.
Strong sense of standing at the top of these stairs and suddenly being pushed from behind.
Urban Explorer, get in line! : )
Sad for childhood~ For those of us who loved this place, it has been very bittersweet to think it will never open again on this soil. But Clark's Elioak Farm is trying to save and relocate as many as they can, so these structures and figures can be enjoyed once again. The boat you speak of has JUST been delivered to the farm. It won't ride people around, but it can now be seen. The farm also sells a d.v.d of the last day the original owners had the EF. You might want to go to the farm and check it out. I think they have it playing on a constant basis. Part of that money goes towards the relocation efforts.
"HOLY CRAP! Please be careful where you walk people! My heart is rolling around somewhere on the floor here, because it just jumped out of my chest!"
