My wife and I bought a house that is from 1909. When we moved in, I could hear laughing and talking and the clinking of plates and dishes. When I went downstairs, there was nothing there.

A few weeks later, we peeled all the ugly old wallpaper in the dining room and the noises stopped.

I spoke with the original owner's son and told him about the noised I heard. His face went white when I told him. Come to find out, his mother (who use to own the house) use to have huge dinner parties with all of her family almost every weekend.

Part of me wishes I didn't tear down the wallpaper so I could still hear those sounds.

I worked in a wool factory (insert your tacky jokes here) and I took care of their computer system.

They had a safe like this and it was amazing that it was all done up in brass and was all carved and ornate. There were so many drawer that held original documents when the factory opened in 1901.

They are turning the factory into luxury condos for morons who have too much money to blow.

Would love to see that safe one more time before its gone

If it was cracked like that, I think it would have fallen down by now. It does look like someone looking around the corner. Ahhhh, Mott made new friends
