Anode, Cathode, Filament... this was likely the control panel of a vacuum tube based transmitter.

When i came to this world a month later, this was still a new calendar hung on a nice, clean wall... funny how time slips away...

That's probably armoured glass, with one or more layers of strong plastic laminated into it (like any car's windshield) and it's absolutely safe even if it's cracked

Note the patched-up cracks, this building already had structural problems before its abandonment

That place looks like a bunker in an old VA hospital

I've seen this device on a three stooges episode - Can't remember which one.
Also I have seen it on bugs Bunny ,when he's dealing with the little martian.
