It is very watery looking, I'll agree with the title.

Hmm, I just noticed, there is a light in the transom frame. I wonder if the patient was in the room, it was lit at night to allow staff to check on them, without having to turn on the rooms overhead light? Just a thought.

This a very secure storage area, I guess to keep wandering patients out & what was kept here in?

I wonder if this was a common design element for these type of places, as Norwich had them too, along with a few other sites on Opacity that Motts has visited.

This room would be a great reading room, so much bright & natural light coming into it.

This towel does not look too bad, seeing how it has the year 1971 on it. No telling how long it has been laying there. Seeing this, you wonder how many patients and/or staff used this towel when the place was opened.

Two things that caught my attention in this photo, the first being that black box looking thing covered up by the plaster & paint chips on the ledge above the tub. I wonder what it was? The second, the tubs knobs. They are different. I wonder if it was meant to be that way, to tell staff which was hot & which was cold water?

Love this shot; the wood on the door frames, the brightly lit hallway, the bay window style look at the end of it. All the paint colors here too, the blue, yellow & white, all being so crisp still. Any chance this could be a wallpaper too?

At least something in this very plain room was nice to look at.

This place is amazing.

Looks like the floor is giving way, where the plaster peeled off the bricks. Was that the case, Motts?

Even though this is supposed to be welcoming, it is not very welcoming & is more creepy looking.
