I had no idea jail cells had windows...
Wouldn't that be dangerous for anyone walking by? The inmate could have something sharp hidden away and at the right moment, stick his arm out and cut a heffer...just saying...

Motts-how come you don't try to photograph the inside of the homes, here and at Pilgrim State among others. We love what you've shot so far, but many of us will never visit these places to see them for ourselves...we live vicariously through you and your photography. Seeing inside these homes would be just as amazing for us as it is wandering with you through the hospitals, asylums, factories, etc. Maybe you can make another visit and take incredible pics of the homes as well. I smell another freshly made album in the future...:)

I would have loved to stay here overnight, asleep near the fireplace, when it was in active use. Amazing.

I think that Thomas has a secret, deep, jealous envy of people who have experienced ghosts/spirits because he hasn't and probably never will and he knows that. This makes him somewhat angry on a sub-conscious level that he feels he needs to lash out when someone else mentions them.
The fact that he actually recognizes "the spirits" by calling them by name means that he does infact on some scale believe they do exist. Unfortunately, since he himself has/will never experience them means he will just continue on trying to rationalize as you've witnessed here.
