this looks shockingly similar to the lab i work in at the moment!

Lucky. This looks so much nicer than the lab I work in at the moment...

lol, Chrispy, especially if it was your annoying MIL who asked, just after picking up a piece of bread she'd dropped on the table and putting it in her mouth...

Sorry. I love my MIL dearly, but I'm lucky...

Not so sure about that weird sifter though... would love to know what it does!

Yup, we have a drying rack like that in our lab as well. Not so much for test tubes, but you can hang beakers and flasks on it. We also use the bottom rows for hanging brushes, wire whisks, rags, etc...

I loved your write-up on this place. I knew of course that Hitler murdered those he deemed mentally unfit, but I didn't know there were so many, or how he carried this out. I do think it's amazing though that they are planning to use these buildings still, instead of ripping them down - if only more places could do so!

Wow, this was a great set. I sometimes skip the industrial locations because I usually prefer the hospitals - I won't make that mistake again! Really interesting photos. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Plastic bags - they almost look like sandbags maybe?

Great photos, Motts, we're always grateful for a new set!

My favourite pic so far! I love the floor, and I like the echoing arches in the hallway and in the windows. The doors at the end look intriguing too!

Especially considering a title, the elevator theory is a good one. Otherwise, I probably would have guessed toxic chemicals or something.

A beautiful tribute to all these people who seem to have been otherwise forgotten. Thank you Motts!

That's exactly it! It's even got that comment about the knife that I remembered. Thanks for that link, Peter. It was driving me nuts.
