Words cannot describe how eerie this is. If I came across this, I would probably be frozen in fear for a few moments, and then I would run like hell.

yikes sam, Sam that would give me a heart attack! I wouldn't want to touch those things, I always think they could have been used...temporarily..I just think that if these places didn't care about their dead, they might be to cheap to actually bury them with the coffin...but pretend they would when they show the coffin for a wake. *shiver*
Reminds me when we bought this cardboard coffin for our fake skeleton Halloween decoration, and being like 10 I decided it would be neat to lay in it...my dad saw me and got pretty mad "get out of there!" - I'm sure that was a horrid site, though I didn't think about it at the moment.

It could be that some kids were exploring and playing around, and one thought it would be "funny" to shove one of the kids in the coffin....but I don't know...

^nevermind to my above comment, I know now...yes, they are ugly!

Now it looks that is frozen over with some solid ice...did they leave the pool filled, or did it just flood this much to nearly fill it to the brim?

It's mindblowing....seeing then and now pictures, and hearing anecdotes of people staying here. This place is mystifying, and I can't quite put my finger on it. But I agree with the general concensus - brown shag carpet and a brown tub is like the WORST bathroom scheme ever.

I have to agree with griffyn - sadly, many of the abandoned places on this site are cleaner than my room and bathroom...*runs away*

This is like out of an explorer's dream...coming across this with all the chairs perfectly stacked and untouched like it was abandoned yesterday.

In fact I did have a dream about this place once...but I was someplace else that was near it and I wanted to find it, but I only found some sheds and the pool...*blush* I know I have no life...

Very nice, so serene and peaceful.

This reminds me of another location. Anyone seen the abandoned New Haven Motel on Route 12 in Wisconsin between Fort Atkinson and Whitewater? This looks like one of the abandoned "cabin" rooms. I just found out my uncle's neighbors know a lot about that place, including that some famous people stayed there, so I will find out a lot more soon. If you've heard of it, email me at jdfan63@hotmail.com

Anyways, this greenhouse is a really awesome find - I'd love to come across something like that while triapsing through the woods!

This reminds me of what is left of the Rouse house. I live a few miles from it, and its a creepy place. Some of you may have heard of it, its also known as "Murder Mansion." A kid murderded both his parents there back in the 80's and later it was turned into a illicit casino with mob connections and some guy was clubbed to death on the stairs. It burned down like 3 years ago when the owner was on vacation...the ruins have been left there and the greenhouse which has been partially burned still stands. Its weird, as this is right along a main road and is part of a neighborhood with houses right next door and across the street! Just goes to show how abandoned places are just left to sit.

You're right Jade...in fact there are many images of what could be hell on this site. And that is not referring to Motts photography, I mean the images he captures! LOL.
I love how the basement seems to glow, and you can see greenish walls and the extremely dirty tile. I feel really drawn to see whats down there for some reason.

Hmm...I can't picture what a drop ceiling looks like at the moment...do we have any pictures on this site of such?

^ lol silkster you have a point there!

Like 4 years ago, before I got my braces put on, I had 4 teeth pulled at once...fun. So I'm getting my braces put on, writhing in pain, and they say "oh, that's right, you recently had teeth pulled didn't you?" "No, I just normally have FOUR BIG GAPING HOLES in my mouth!"
Sorry, painful experience lol. And having stitches in your gum is no fun either. But at least the chairs are comfortable. If I knew a place was going to be bulldozed within a month, I'd be tempted to off with one of them.

Yes, that is quite a feat! I must ask, how on Earth did you manage to make it up there?

Are we talking about the one in the lower left-hand corner that looks demonic? Sort of like the Scream character? Damn, it almost looks like its wearing a black hood or has long black hair. *shiver*
