So true. prisoners worked to support themselves and were likely much better off as a result. Learned how to do something of value and were maybe a little safer while in jail. Idle hands today seem to lead to a lot of problems.

I am guessing that the circle stains evenly spaced on the ceiling must have been lights at some point. Outside of that, there doesn't seem to be any signs of lighting.

I love the bright green surrounded by all the dark decrypted walls and railings. It really gives you a feel of being trapped from the outside world. No longer any freedom.
