I am fascinated by the complexity of this machine and the processes involved in building/maintaining it. And who the heck was brilliant enough to envision all of this? I am guessing that after an initial brilliant idea, each piece and/or process was added by trial and error to improve the production rate. Engineers never get enough credit for their braininess.

I chuckled when I heard "slag" used as a derogatory word on a British sit-com some years back, but all I could think was, "If a woman is anywhere near as tough as the slag at a steel factory, she must be one hell of a tough woman and has my admiration and respect."
