Wow! What an angle, indeed. It's a little extreme, and disorienting...but all the while, it's still quite beautiful. Lovely work.

This shot reminds me of the lyrics to a Tom Waits song.

"Your hair is like metal grass..."

Metal grass indeed. ^_^

"My time here is over
The end of life draws nigh
No more footsteps, no laughter
All have passed away
I once was proud and regal
I once stood tall and strong
Scorched by fire and abandoned
Walls are falling, staircase crumbling
A shadow of what once was
I have grown so weary
I can hold on no more
I bid you farewell
As I depart, forgotten."

OMG! My aunt and uncle live in Great Barr, this being my aunt and uncle who are always inviting me and my girlfriend to stay over! Next time I'm there I SO have to check this place out!
I like this one a lot!
For some reason I'm in love with this shot--the angle is just fantastic!

Thank-you, Mathue. It is so disturbing to see how absolutely regal and beautiful it once was. To let something like this go to waste is a shame.

Hmm, I notice all of these buildings in Europe that were abandoned in the '90s are in terrible shape, and look like they've been abandoned as long as some of the buildings you've shot here in the US that have been abandoned since the '70s or '80s. Weather perhaps?
