i totaly agreee with what u said i work with kids with autism and i have never worked with nicer staff/people we all totaly adore the kids we work with and always do our best to make sure they are happy healthy and content plus educating them with new skills i know alot of bad things happened in these places i have proof but i bet there were 100's and 100's of people who worked in these places who realy did care
some people are not sure about certain things about mental health past or present i've worked in residentional care with children with autism aged between 8 and 18 years old for 4 years now if a memember of the genral public asks me a question i answer them in the best way i can if you have never worked in this type of work it is very easy to make mistakes great comments lynne
I'm torn between my instincts as a historian and my belief in privacy. If they go anywhere it should be a hisotical society or the Smithsonian/National Archives ... they are old enough that the right to privacy isn't as relevant.

I could sit and read stuff like that all day. I did get the chance to explore and an abandoned house about 15 years ago. My cousin and I sat down and read all the documents left on the floor. Didnt take anything, just sat and read.
I have heard that baby walkers do not help a infant learn to walk because they are unable to see their feet. (ie the tray on the walker; etc) So I am going out on a limb and say this type of walker helps because the Individual is able to see their feet?
My son is attending a one-one teaching school where they use these tiles. They are used in the LIPs or Lindamood Bell learning program. The tiles are part of the "vowel circle".
