Moisture, sunlight, heat/cold can do very unusual things to the glue that holds those tiles down. Ive layed tile for many people, and when its not taken care of properly, the corners start to turn upward and eventually the whole thing will just pop right off :) The warped corners are clearly visible in this picture.

I wonder what the backdrop of the stage is made of?????
