I have been looking at this for a while, and the part i find curious are the hooks on top. it looks like part of a latching mechanism from a door that requires a tight - positive seal.
OK, my question, besides party favors, what would a hospital use this type, and so many of, this type of light? I hope the answer isn't to obvious.

It's not demolished.Not only was it not demolished, it was going to be restored as residences. Lack of funding however prevented that. Its still there though. Now owned by the Town of Hanson.
